Alaska is a huge and diverse state. That diversity and hugeness demands that energy and fuel be used in large and steady quantities. The threats of running out of natural gas (Anchorage) or fuel (many villages the previous few winters), or running out of money to pay the ever increasing costs of heat and power and fuel for Alaskans during the severe winters, (having to depend on fuel oil donated by venezuela!! How crazy is that??). We have a right as a sovereign state to develop our resources. We are either a state or we are not. If we are, we need to elect Bill Walker to stop this insanity of draining Alaskans of their ability to live securely and as economically as possible, and be able to transport people and goods, and have access to reasonably priced and readily available fuels of all types. Alaska contains the two largest conventional gas fields on the north american continent, replete with gas liquids that make Alaska`s gas twice as valuable as say, Australia`s Gorgon gas, which contains no liquids. It`s time Alaska`s people took action to develop, market, and have available for themselves their own resources, instead of stifling exploration and development (by the producers investing Alaska profits elsewhere). Bill Walker will get it done.

Bill has the right idea as to how to kick-start the sluggish Alaska economy. His “All-Alaska” pipeline will create thousands of jobs for Alaskans, and get those jobs going now. Also, his concern for the security of the state and Alaska infrastructure by supporting volunteers, in particular the Alaska State Defense Force, shows his patriotism and common sense. The country is at war and Alaska is not immune from attack. Alaska needs all the volunteers it can get to supplement inadequate law enforcement numbers. Bill is the only candidate who understands this problem and has a solution for it.
